Famous cartoon character Popeye is a sailor man who works independently. The language of Popeye consist of fractured vocabulary, husky and deep voice and casual approach in grammar. Pronunciation of this language is also very unique. Popeye usually pronounce “k” instead of “t” like “infant” as “infank” or “fist” as “fisk”. He has bulging forearms with anchors tattoo on them and screwed up face. Another two things which are always attached with Popeye are his captain’s hat and corncob pipe which is carried as steamship’s whistle sometime. He is a one-eyed sailor, this is his heredity. Popeye is a versatile character sometime he act as detective like Sherlock Holms or Spaceman in “spinach-drive” or scientist of scientific community or just a guardian of his coast guard station to met Forty Thieves of Ali Baba. Different cartoonists describe Popeye in different plot and different services but traditionally Popeye serve as Merchant and Navy Captain. Bluto or Brutus and The Sea Hug are common enemy of Popeye. Usually Popeye fight against Brutus for his triangular love story with his girlfriend Olive Oyl. The secret of Popeye supernatural strength is spinach. After eating spinach his muscle bulk up and he get superhuman strength.

Wimpy: Wimpy whose full name is J. Wellington Wimpy, is Popeye friend and care taker of his wild antics. He is very intelligent, well-educated and soft-spoken as well as very lazy and coward guy. Paul Dooley played the Wimpy character in musical film of Robert Altman in 1980.
The Sea Hag: The Sea Hag is one of the top most enemies in Popeye’s sea adventure. She is last masculine witch in earth who is specialist in dark magic including Voodoo. She sails over the seven seas in her own boat “The Black Barnacle”. She has an army of goons and a pet vulture called Bernard.
Swee’Pea: Popeye and Olive adopted a son named Swee’Pea. He is a crawling baby who also can punch if necessary. Popeye found Swee’Pea in his doorstep with in a box.
